SANAA, June 20 (Saba) - Minister of Public Works and Roads Ghalib Mutlaq on Thursday opened the project of asphalting and expanding Dharwan market in Hamdan district of Sanaa province at a cost of 300 million riyals.
The project will facilitate traffic movement especially that it is located on the main road linking the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Amran and Saada.
Following the opening, the minister directed to open the road to vehicles traffic through the market after expanding it a kilometer in length with a width of 30 meters.
Mutlaq praised the efforts of the Road Maintenance Fund and the General Establishment for Roads and Bridges, which completed the project within a short time not exceeding 15 days.
He confirmed that the ministry's determination to continue work to expand and maintain the road network despite the economic difficulties caused by the aggression, which greatly affected the implementation of the development and service projects.
