Yemen, AFESD sign 3 financing agreements of US$ 204 mln

SANA'A, July 16 (Saba) –Yemen has signed Monday with the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development (AFESD) three financing agreements of US$ 204 million dedicated to contribute to finance some projects in the country.

These three agreements come under the fund's fulfillment of its pledges during the Riyadh conference to allocate US$ 35 million for reconstructing Abyan affected areas, US$ 63 million for equipping Aden Teaching Hospital, and for improving and expanding Sana'a-Hodeidah highway at a total cost of more than US$ 106 million.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi hailed the AFESD contribution in propping up the development and stability paths as well as the fund's keenness to meet the developmental needs in Yemen.
