[12/January/2005] The Aden- based national daily, 14 October, its editorial focused on the political leadership’s keenness on the youths.

The editorial came out under the headline "More Attention To Youths".

The paper stated that the political leadership used to pay much attention to the youngsters who are due to play a key role in the development process. Hence, HE President Ali Abdullah Saleh, in his meeting yesterday with a number of prominent youth figures, he had made clear that youngsters are being given high priority in the government’s plans and programs.

The paper’s editorial went on saying HE the President of the republic had frequently stressed the necessity of securing a considerable care of youths and providing them with the needed requirements to help them building their capacities, consequently , getting them involved in the development drive.

The 14 October, concluded its leading article saying the political leadership is very keen to protect youths from out- dated- visions and ideas. Youngsters need to be qualified in order to keep up with the on going changes and cope with the upcoming challenges. Thereby , they should look ahead so as to get a bright future. Said the paper.
