Three sub-conferences under Sana\'a Conference

SANA\'A, Jan 11 (Saba) - The Inter-Governmental Regional Conference on Democracy, Human Rights, and the Role of the International Criminal Court,
at the end of its first session held here on Sunday, approved the participants to be divided into three sub-conferences.
First sub-conference, headed by the Minister of Justice and the British Attorney General and the Legal Official in Greek Foreign Ministry as a
reporter, would be concerned with the International Criminal Court and its role in establishing the Rule of Law to protect democracy and human rights.
Participants, of this group, would listen to comments by the Court judges and Attorney General, as well as other participants, and would discuss priorities and policies developed by member countries of the Court.
Second sub-conference, headed by the Jordanian Minister of Justice and Assistant of the Italian Foreign Minister and Yemen\'s Minister of Human
Rights as a reporter, would be concerned with relationship between concepts of democracy and human rights.
Participants of this group, would listen to opinions, of delegations representing countries of the region, as to the ways of raising the democratic principles in their countries.
It is scheduled also to present experiences of countries witnessed turning development and now are active in terms of developing democracy.
In addition, they would discuss the best available methods to regionally establish the democratic principles according to the political and cultural development of every country.
The third sub-conference, headed by the Kuwaiti former Minister of Education and Ambassador Mona Mukaram as a reporter, would be concerned with the civil community and how to promote democracy.
Participants would discuss experiences and sights possible to crystallize principle and priorities that might be applied by civil community to raise concepts of democracy and human rights and to encourage partnership between
governments and civil community organizations, in this regard.
