SANA'A, Dec. 15 (Saba) – Yemen and the World Bank (WB) discussed here on Monday activation of the business environment improvement project in Yemen.
Minister of Trade and Industry Dr. Mohamed al-Sa'di and a WB's delegation led by Naji Ben Hussein, director of Middle East for improving business environment, reviewed arrangements for activating the work of the committee tasked with following up improving the businesses environment in Yemen, especially the facilitating the establishment of small and medium enterprises.
They stressed the importance of activating the single-window system at the Ministry of Trade and Industry and unifying the procedures in this aspect.
In this regard, Dr. al-Sa'di confirmed his ministry's readiness to give all facilities for the Bank's experts in order to activate the business environment improvement project and train the ministry's cadres in this field.
The WB official affirmed that the Bank is ready to provide the technical support for the committee to improve the climate of investment, establish the small and medium companies and activate the single-window system at the ministry.
