President Hadi meets Yemeni clerks

SANA'A, May 29 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Tuesday with big delegation of Yemeni clerks.

The clerks visited President Hadi to congratulate him on the National Day and confirmed their support to the President as well as reviewing the implementation progress of the Gulf initiative and other issues concerning the country's stability and the infrastructure's security.

President Hadi talked to the clerks, saying that "The situation was vulnerable, like a spider's web. It was and still is sensitive and critical." It needed to solutions and to patience in order to avoid angry reactions.

Hadi indicated to the sabotage acts against electricity transmission lines and oil pipeline, saying that sabotage to power lines caused the death of many children and people in hospitals.

"The months-long attacks on the Marib - Ras Issa oil pipeline have caused the country looses reach $15 million per day. So far, Yemen has lost owing to these attacks more than $2 billion," the president said, wondering about the position of Islam and the clerks on the saboteurs.

He reviewed the progress and developments of the implementation of the political settlement in Yemen based on the Gulf initiative and the UN Resolution 2014 as well as the related regional and international cooperation in order to tackle the current difficult circumstances.

"We will move powerfully with the aim of achieving the desired objectives and overcoming the obstacles as we do recently"

He spoke of the national reconciliation government, saying it represents Yemen not parties or centers of power. It is consensual that should be always taken into account.

He stressed the importance of the clerks' vital and constructive role in enlightening the citizens on their interests and the crimes committed against them.

Hadi also talked about the criminal explosion, which has claimed the lives of many soldiers in al-Sabin square, a day before the National Day, committed by al-Qaeda, as well as the developments of the fighting on the so-called "Sharia supporters" of al-Qaeda in areas Zanjibar and Jaar and Lauder in Abyan province and the impressive victories made by the armed forces.

Clerk Abdul-Majid al-Zindani expressed the clerks' blessings to the President's efforts.

Al-Zindani said that the entire Yemeni people is with President Hadi, adding that Hadi is commissioned popularly and backed regionally and internationally.

"There is no Arab leader has gained what President Hadi has done of the trust and support," he said.
