SANA'A, Nov. 04 (Saba) - Yemen and the World Bank (WB) reviewed on Wednesday issues related to their cooperation in the field of higher education and administrative reforms.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi discussed with the WB Education officer Aisha Fouda issues of the second project of higher ducation.
Fouda briefed al-Arhabi on details relating to the prepared study by WB in cooperation with Yemen government on the unified vision for education in Yemen.
In this regard, al-Arhabi affirmed the significance of the existing deep-rooted relations between higher and basic education as well as the technical education in order to match needs of the local and regional markets.
During the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed that Yemen insisted on going on in applying the national reforms, noting what have been done during the previous period in that field.
For her part, the WB official hailed Yemen's keenness to promote reforms, affirming the WB support in the development process of
Yemen.
