LONDON, Oct. 28(Saba)- Chairman of the General Investment Authority (GIA) Salah al-Atar has called British, European and Arab investors to discover and make use of the investment opportunities available in Yemen.
In his speech in the first Arab British Economic Forum (ABEF), which was organized by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce on 27-28 October, al-Atar indicated that the invitation comes in the framework of the financial and administrative reform program and President Ali Abdullah Saleh directions to comply with the tenth priorities which will be implemented by the overnment
Yemen implemented most of administrative reforms in order to provide
investment opportunities and incentives, tax exemption for investors, al-Atar pointed out.
Yemen will export the natural liquefied gas which will assist the government to avoid several economic obstacles, he added.
He also praised the Donors Conference results held in London 2006, praising the effective contribution of the Gulf states.
On the sidelines of the forum ,GIA chairman met Secretary General of the Arab League States Amr Moussa and Secretary-General and Chief Executive of the Arab British Chamber Afnan al-Shuaibi.
GIA chairman also met British Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Ivan Lewis and the Executive chairman for trade and investment between Yemen and Britain Andrew Cahn.
In the meeting, they discussed ways of boosting economic and investment relations between Yemen and Britain.
