Supreme Tender Monitoring Committee's role reviewed

SANA'A, Oct. 27 (Saba) - The Supreme Tender Monitoring Committee chairman Abdul-Malek al-Arashi reviewed here on Tuesday with Deputy Director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Sean Jones the role of the committee in monitoring trends and bids.

The meeting dealt with the USAID and donors' role in supporting the committee to carry out its tasks as well as to be benefited from the various countries' experiences in that regard.

Al-Arashi affirmed the importance of USAID and donors support for the committee in field of providing technical consultations and preparing a long-term strategy for the committee.

He added that the committee members and cadres need training, particularly in ways of monitoring and following-up trends work and others, praising the USAID efforts in supporting Yemen in field of economic reforms.

The Supreme Tender Monitoring Committee was established in order to monitor and supervise the honesty of carrying out trends and bids procedures.
