SANA'A, Dec. 27 (Saba) – The International Conference on Drugs Addiction Prevention is to start next Sunday in Sana'a.
The conference will be organized by the Interior ministry in collaboration with the Middle East Research Center for Human Rights and Development.
The two-day conference will deal with several work papers on effects of drugs addiction as well as preparation to face drugs addiction and the role of civil society in preventing it, director of the Administration of Drugs Fight at the Interior ministry Khalid Mutahar al-Radhi said.
Local and international experts along with academics, specialists in drugs addiction prevention and representatives from the civil society will take part in the conference.
The conference will aim at raising awareness about drugs addiction and its effects on all society sections particularly youth.
In addition, it will discuss ways to prevent drugs addiction through connection between prevention reasons and addiction problem as well as connection between relevant authorities concerned about the prevented addicts and authorities concerned with fighting drugs at the official and national levels.
Al-Radhi said the conference will be associated with exhibitions of special products for and modern publications on drugs addiction prevention as well as a documentary film on drugs and their effects on individuals and society.
