LONDON, Nov. 29 (Saba)-Yemen re- affirmed on Saturday importance of activating the international cooperation between counties of West Indian Ocean, Aden Gulf and Red Sea in combating piracy.

Deputy Chairman of the Yemeni Authority of Navy Affairs Hani al-Bawani called in the Yemeni speech to the meeting of the Marine Safety Committee at the International Navigation Organization in
London to sign a memorandum of understanding to combat acts of piracy against ships off Somali coastlines.

He also affirmed concern of Yemen to activate cooperation and coordination at regional and international levels to face these acts. 

Al-Bawani said that the piracy resulted from bad political and security situation in Somalia.
