SANA'A, May 11 (Saba) - The Parliament approved on its Sunday's session the loan agreement of funding Taiz Municipal Development and Flood Protection Project.

The loan agreement was signed between Yemen's government and International Development Association of the World Bank at sum of $20 million.

The project aims at helping Taiz local government develop its capacity to carry out a major part of their responsibilities under the country's new Local Authorities Law, to protect city residents, businesses and infrastructure from seasonal destructive flash flooding, and initiate support for Yemen's decentralization program.
