SANA'A, (Saba)- Prime Minister Ali Mujawar inaugurated on Monday the 2nd Scientific Symposium on Trade Cheating and Reproduction organized by the Yemeni Association for Consumer Protection.
Mujawar delivered a speech in which he confirmed that consumer protection has a great support and acquires a unique position in the government's economic policies.
He confirmed that the government is giving the subject of this symposium big concern saying: "The government has set out implementing package of measures and remedies" concerning consumer,protecting health, economies and environment safety.
Mujawar reviewed government's strategies that include issuing domestic commerce law, price announcement calendar and activating system of encouraging contest and banning monopoly, indicating that the government would work on reinforcing surveillance on border outlets and combating trade cheatings phenomenon.
The symposium, participated by 13 ministries and government bodies,academics, experts, representatives of private sector and representatives of consumer protection associations in a number of the GCC countries, aims at discussing the most important national, regional and international developments in trade cheating and reproduction and making comprehensive review to measures and legislations to eradicate this phenomenon.
The two-day long symposium, would discuss 19 work papers distributed on six bases tackling the phenomenon's effects on health and income of consumer and trade cheating and reproduction as well as its effects on investment and legal trade.
