[08/July/2007] SANA'A, July 08 (Saba)- The governor of Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) Ahmed al-Samawi talked on Sunday with the Indian ambassador to Yemen
R.M. Aggarwal on the Indian government's request to establish a branch of Indian bank of Baroda in Sana'a.
Al-Samawi referred the request to the sector of monitoring banks to consider it according to the banks law.
On the other hand, Al-Samawi also held talks with the Malaysian ambassador to Yemen Abdul-Samad Othman on aspects of the mutual
relations between the two countries, particularly in field of banks.
They discussed the activities of Islamic banks and means of developing cooperation relations between the Yemeni and Malaysian Islamic banks.
