AL-Gomhuryah, Feb.9,2005.
[09/February/2005]
Al-Gomhuryah, the Taiz- based official daily newspaper, its editorial underlined the great deal of achievements which had been made in the governorate of Hudhramout.

The editorial, which bore the headline" Hudhramout Tops the Agenda", stated that the numerous projects had been carried out in the governorate of Hudhramout were the unity,s fruits. Since the country reunification in 1990, Hudhramout has been witnessing a rapid development campaign in the different spheres.

The paper pointed out to the situation in the province before the unity when citizens had to suffer for a long time under the yoke of the totalitarian regime which ruled the southern part of the country since 1967 until the country reunification in May 1990.
It said that the inhabitants of Hudhramout had gone through unbearable ordeal due to the recalcitrant socialist regime which had coerced the large number of Hudhramout citizens to flee their homeland the neighboring countries.

The editorial went on saying ever since the unity thousands of Yemeni immigrants have already returned to the homeland and started to invest their capitals in the governorate of Hudhramout when the felt security and stability.

Al-Gomhuryah came to say that Hudhramout is a promising province due to have a remarkable position along with Aden governorate and the president of the republic has rights to be proud of the development process which has been taking place in there.
