Volume of Trade Between Yemen And APEC.

Volume of trade between Yemen and the APEC made up around 48% of Yemen's foreign trade , estimated at (1.3YR) trillion Yemeni Rial in 2003.

According to a report issued by the Central Statistical Organization(CSO) indicated that the volume of trade between Yemen and APEC had increased from (511YR) billion in 2002 to some (652.5YR) billion in 2003, with an excess ion up to (141YR) billion.

The report stated that the volume of Yemen’s exports during the same period reached to (494YR) billion Yemeni Rial.
Around 43% of that exports went to China. Thai came the second importer from Yemen. Then South Korea , Singapore , Indonesia, the United States, Malaysia and Japan consecutively.

The volume of Yemen’s imports from the APEC came up to (158.5 YR) billion Yemeni Rial in 2003, based on the CSO report. The largest portion of Yemen’s imports from APEC came from the United States , China, Japan, Malaysia and Thai.

The total cost of Yemen’s imports from each APEC member state as follow: USA (42.2YR) billion Yemeni Rial, China (36YR) , Japan (16.8YR) , Malaysia (14.8YR) , Thai (14.5YR) , Singapore (7.6YR) , South Korea (6.7YR) , Canada and Australia (3.5YR) billion for each one. Meanwhile, Yemen’s imports from the rest APEC members calculated some (5.4YR) billion Yemeni Rial.
