Bajammal urges civil society, NGOs to protect consumer

SANA'A, Jan 15(Saba)- Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Bajammal urged on Saturday chairman and members of the Yemeni Consumer Protection Association to work along with government, civil society organization and NGOs toprotect consumer.

Prime minister called the association to work along with governmental bodies, civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations in order to serve and protect consumer and raising awareness of tradeissues and industrial cheatings.

The Premier gave orders to include a draft law of consumer protection with the Cabinet agenda of this week for discussion.

He pointed to the necessity for expanding the Association's activities by opening new branches, in cooperation with Local Authority and extendingmembership.

Prime Minister gave directives to the Ministry of Information to fullycooperate with the Association in its awareness and monitoring campaigns.
