Sana\'a hosts Arab seminar on women\'s professions
[22 August 2004] SANA'A,(Saba)- The capital Sana'a is hosting for six days an Arab seminar on women's professions curriculums in participation of Syria, Libya , Jordan and Palestine.

The seminar, organized by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training, focuses on Yemen's achievements in relation to women's professions and the applied mechanism to prepare curriculums which should include qualification programs in field of needlework, photography and TV-shooting ,and the possibility of making use of Arab experiences in this regard.

In the opening ceremony, the Technical Education and Vocational Training Minister Ali Mansour bin Safa'a pointed to the necessity of women's effective participation in labor work to build the national economy.

Participants said that the seminar aims at discussing the experience of participating countries in terms of encouraging women's different professions and setting up training programs on scientific bases in order to obtain integration between education and training and demand of labor markets.
