SANA'A, May 21, (Saba)- At the ordering of President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the salaries of all state civil servants would increase by 20-40 percent, as of next June, Minister of Civil Service and Social Security Hamoud Al-Sofi announced on Friday.The salary scale has already been formulated by the Ministry of Civil Service, approved by the Cabinet and the ministry will hold a workshop for reproducing it in its final form, he told Sabanet as one more glad tiding for civil servants on the eve of the National Day. The minister said that setting up the Civil Service Fund and the use of biological fingerprint and employment magnetic card would be a contribution to avoid administrative flaws. He culminated his remarks with a strict warning for those who hold more than one job in the public sector urged them to step down and hold just one job each, before the system of biological fingerprint and photo is put into effect.
