Deputy FM welcomes UN efforts to reach peace in Yemen
[11/July/2018]

SANAA, July 11 (Saba) – Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein al-Ezzi on Wednesday welcomed efforts made by the UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to reach a fair peace that ensures the unity and stability of Yemen.

During his meeting with aAiman Mackie, the political affairs officer in the UN envoy's office, al-Ezzi confirmed that there are ongoing attempts by the Saudi-led aggression coalition to obstruct the peace process.

He said that "the continued escalation by the coalition in Yemen's western coast does not serve the United Nations efforts aiming to acheive a settlement."

In the meeting, Mackie reviewed the efforts of the UN envoy to reach a comprehensive political settlement.
