SANAA, July 10 (Saba) - The Yemeni Parliament on Tuesday welcomed the European Union (EU)'s recent statement, which stressed that there is no military solution to the conflict in Yemen, confirming its support to efforts aiming to reach a political solution.
In the meeting chaired by the Parliament's Speaker, Yahya al-Raei, the parliament reviewed the EU's statement on the latest developments in Hodeidah province and the continuing deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Yemen due to the continuation of the war and siege.
The parliament welcomed the EU's commitment to the unity, sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen and its call for all actors to respect that.
In the meeting, the parliament members expressed thanks and appreciation to the EU for its endeavors to give priority to a peaceful solution in Yemen.
They, at the same time, called on the EU to exert more efforts to stop the aggression and lift the siege imposed by the Saudi-led aggression coalition states and to prevent the EU countries' governments from selling arms to the coalition.
On another hand, the parliament continued in its meeting to review a report on anti-terrorism bill.
