SANAA, June 24, (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met in Sanaa with head of the Office of the UN Secretary-General Special Envoy to Yemen.

The latest developments in the UN envoy's mission and his efforts aiming to resume the negotiations process for bringing the lasting peace in Yemen.

In the meeting, Sharaf referred to the situation in the western coast and its impact on the deteriorating humanitarian situation and peace efforts.
He stressed the importance of adopting the peaceful political solution by the international community and the United Nations to protect Yemenis.

For her part, the UN official confirmed that the envoy, Martin Griffiths, would continue his good efforts to break the ice and start the political negotiations as soon as possible in order to restore security and stability in Yemen.
