President al-Sammad congratulates Iranian President

SANA'A, May 21 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Saleh Al-Samad sent a congratulatory cable to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on his landslide election victory and winning a second term in office.

In the four-man race held on Saturday, Rouhani won a reelection victory with 23,549,616 votes or 57 percent of the total ballots. His nearest rival Ebrahim Raisi, secured 15,786,449 votes, or 38.5 percent, according to news reports.
