Yemen, OCHA review humanitarian cooperation
[01/February/2017] SANA'A, Feb. 01, (SABA) - The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Dr. Hussein Muqboli met on Wednesday with the Country director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen George Khoury.

The meeting examined the crimes committed by the countries of aggression against roads and bridges as well as targeting ports and airports.

The Deputy Prime Minister informed the UN official about the critical situation the Yemeni people suffers which causing the destruction of many infrastructure, roads and bridges, as well as hospitals.

The Director-General of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs stated that the United Nations is closely monitoring all acts that are harmful to civilian and is actively working to accelerate the peace process and alleviate the suffering of citizens so as to facilitate the entry of food and medicines.

Mr. Khoury stressed that the United Nations agencies in Yemen are working to aid the Yemeni people with humanitarian and relief assistance.
