Yemen condemns Quebec terrorist attack
[31/January/2017]

SANA'A, Jan. 31 (Saba) - Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf condemned a Sunday terrorist attack on a Mosque in Quebec City of Canada.

"Terrorism does not differentiate between one country and another and it represents one of the most serious threats to the international peace and security," he said in a statement to Saba.

"Terrorist acts cannot be stopped by security and military measures only, we have to eliminate the origin of terrorism and its supporters."

The minister called on the international community to unite and cooperate in combating terrorism and extremism, stressing on the importance to bring the perpetrators, organizers, financiers and supporters of terrorism to justice.

Sharaf expressed the Yemeni people and government's condolences to the friendly government and people of Canada and to the families of victims, wishing speedy recovery to the injured.
