National delegation meets UN envoy
[06/September/2016] SANAA, sep. 06 (Saba) – The Yemeni national delegation met UN special envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, in the Omani capital Muscat on Tuesday, as a part of diplomatic efforts exerted by Oman.
In the meeting, the national delegation renewed protest against the brutal massacres committed by the Saudi-led aggression against Yemen, which has killed thousands of Yemeni people, including children and women, and left other thousands injured.
The delegation also protested the continuation of military escalation by the Saudi aggression and its mercenaries and their massacres against the Yemeni civilians on daily basic.
The delegation deplored the UN's inability to take no action against air blockade imposed by the Saudi-led aggression against Sanaa International Airport, which causes great suffering for Yemeni travelers particularly patients who were left stranded in many foreign countries due to the blockade.
For his part, Ould Cheikh said the agreement will be a fully comprehensive solution, including all the issues, particularly the presidency issue, contrary to was put on the table in Kuwait.
Ould Cheikh condemned the air blockade against the Sanaa airport, showing his sorrow over suffering of Yemeni people and promising to reopen it in the next days.
