Mareb’s de-escalation committee holds other party responsible for escalation
[16/July/2016]

MAREB, July 16 (Saba) – The local de-escalation committee in Mareb province held the other party responsible for all the consequences of the continuous military escalation acts in the province.

“ For the sixth straight day the other party continues in its big escalation being in light of our commitment to the truce and halting the military operations,” the committee said on Saturday in a communiqué directed to the UN envoy to Yemen and the Supreme Supervisory Committee.

The committee pointed out to the continued escalation by the hirelings, the last of which was their attempt to advance on the front of Serwah since Friday night and on Saturday.

The committee also referred to three air raids by the Saudi warplanes on Dhaboa’a area in Nehm, which resulted in killing and injuring a number of innocent citizens.

The committee demanded the United Nations represented by its envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed to stop this escalation and pressure on the other party to commit to the truce and the signed agreements.
