Socotra police deny arrival of terrorists to Island
[22/February/2015] SOCOTRA, Feb. 22 (Saba) – Police Chief of Socotra archipelago province brigadier Salem Abdullah denied on Sunday the reported news about the arrival of airplane coming from Qatar and carrying members of Ansar-al-Sharia and Daash (ISIS).

Abdullah said such rumors are baseless and aim to hit the tourism sector in the island and its reputation as well as disturbing the public security and tranquility characterized by the province.

There is no international flights to the archipelago from Qatar, except two weekly flights from Dubai international airport via Yemenia Airways, Abdullah added.

He called on news outlets to be accurate in publishing news and do not publish such rumors which affect the security, stability and tourism in the island.
