Yemen's foreign currency reserves drop by $ 140 mln in October

SANA'A, Dec.08(Saba)- Yemen's total foreign currency reserves dropped by $ 140 million to about $ 4.9 billion in October, compared with a $ 124 million decrease in September.

The Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) covered the import bill of oil derivatives and basic foodstuffs with nearly $ 183 million in October, according to the latest report issued by the Bank.

The bank's total balance sheet showed a slight decrease amounting to 4.5 billion rials (about $20.9 million) by end of October, reaching 2.166 trillion rials (nearly $ 10 billion).
