Yemen sells 1.6 million barrels of Masila crude to Unipic

SANA'A, Sep.29(Saba)- The Supreme Committee on Crude Oil Marketing approved on Monday selling 1.6 million barrels of Masila crude oil for loading in December to Unipic Petroleum Company.

The crude sale's approval made during the committee's meeting chaired by Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa, to endorse the crude oil sales of December 2014, with an estimated quantity reaches 3.1 million barrels of Masila and Marib crude.

Unipic Company, which has placed the best bid, bought the 1.6 million barrels of Masila crude at a premium of $0.74 a barrel to dated Brent.

Regarding Marib crude oil, the committee agreed to sell the December total quantity amounting to 1.5 million barrels to Aden Refinery Company at the dated Brent price (without any discount or rise.)
