Yemen, IFAD discuss EOF's performance

SANA'A, June 04 (Saba) - Yemen and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) discussed here on Wednesday the progress in the performance of the Economic Opportunities Fund (EOF).

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Saadi stressed, during his meeting with Resident Representative of the IFAD Dr. Fathia Bahran and Country Director of the IFAD's project portfolio in Yemen Mohammed Abdel-Qader, the importance of activating the role and the performance of the EOF. He noted to the IFAD's constant support to the EOF.

In the meeting, the two sides reviewed the arrangements for the appointment of an executive director of the EOF.

They also reviewed the progress in the implementation of IFAD-funded projects and the existing and future support of IFAD for Yemen.

The planning minister praised the IFAD's contributions to supporting the paths of development and stability in Yemen, considering it one of the active partners in the development field.

In turn, Country Director of the IFAD's project portfolio in Yemen confirmed that the Fund's keenness to continue to provide all aspects of support to Yemen, alluding to the level of the existing cooperation between Yemen and the Fund.
