Health Minister meets delegation of Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

SANA'A, May 04 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Ahmed al-Ansi discussed here on Sunday with a delegation of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria the bilateral cooperation in the health field.

The meeting touched on the progress in the activities of the AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria programs in Yemen, which are supported by the Global Fund, and the successes they have achieved during the past period, as well as the future plans of these programs.

In the meeting, the Health Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation for the support provided by the Fund to those programs in Yemen, stressing the need for the continuation of support to maintain what has been achieved in the fight against the diseases of malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS.

Dr. al-Ansi confirmed the Health Ministry's readiness and keenness to facilitate the obstacles so as to contribute to the success of the Fund's objectives and proposals to activate the work of the three programs.
