SANA’A, Feb.25 (Saba)- Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basendwa met here on Tuesday with the newly appointed ambassador of Bangladesh to Yemen Mohammad Ashab Uddin.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations and opportunities for promoting them in the fields of economy, trade, human development, craft and medical industries, as well as aspects related to promoting communication between the two countries.
The Prime Minister welcomed the ambassador and wished him success to serve the Yemeni-Bangladeshi relations.
He mentioned the mutual commitment to investment opportunities available to make the cooperation between the two countries stronger at all areas.
Basendwa also noted the steps carried out by Bangladesh in a number of productive sectors, including the influential role of Bangladeshi women in economy, expressing his wishes of sustained development for the people of Bangladesh.
For his part, the ambassador briefed the Prime Minister on the latest remarkable developments in Bangladesh especially in the fields of industrial and human development.
He stressed his country's keenness to develop its level of cooperation with Yemen in the fields of economy, trade and other sectors.
He also pointed out that, through his new position, he would do all his best to serve the Yemeni-Bangladeshi relations and develop the mutual interests of the two countries.
