President meets USA under secretary of homeland security

SANA'A, Jan. 07 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Monday with USA Under Secretary of Homeland Security for National Protection and Programs Rand Beers.

The President hailed the excellent level the Yemeni-USA relations have reached, stressing they are now transparent and obvious, which are factors helped in advancing them.

He said that his last visit to the USA and meetings with President Barack Obama and several senior officials were successful and have good outcomes aiming to improve the joint cooperation, particularly in security and counterterrorism areas.

Hadi said that the political settlement based on the Gulf initiative is moving forward, voicing his full confidence of the cooperation of all political and social powers in the country to succeed the national dialogue.

He expressed his high appreciation of the assistance the USA has presented to Yemen in political, economic and security fields.
