SANA'A, Nov. 14 (Saba) - Speaker of parliament Yahya al-Raei received on Wednesday an invitation from the Indian parliament to visit India.
The invitation was handed over by Indian ambassador to Yemen Ausaf Sayeed to al-Raei, who accepted the invitation but its date to be determined later.
The parliament speaker stressed the importance of enhancing the cooperation relations between Yemen and India to cover other areas, calling on the Indian capitals and companies to invest in the country. He also indicated to the legislations passed by the parliament that grant many merits and facilities to the foreign investors.
Al-Raei briefed the Indian diplomat on the latest developments on the national arena, voicing the parliament's keenness on achieving the political settlement in the country under the Gulf initiative and on holding the national comprehensive dialogue to tackle all the pending issues.
He hailed the positive attitudes of India in support of Yemen's efforts to achieve the Gulf initiative and to carry out the inclusive development.
The Indian ambassador lauded the Yemeni wisdom in solving the problems and challenges over the last years, saying that the Gulf initiative was the efficient way to tackle the Yemeni crisis.
Sayeed talked about the Indian businessmen's will to expand their investments in Yemen, particularly in oil and gas fields, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation and expertise exchange in parliamentary areas.
