President offers condolences to US counterpart on Sandy victims

SANA'A, Nov. 01 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi sent on Thursday a letter of condolence to the USA President Barack Obama over casualties of the Sandy storm, which hit the USA eastern coast on Monday.

Hadi expressed heartfelt sorrow and sympathy to families of the victims and the USA friendly people, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.

Sandy smashed 15 states of USA, topped by New York and New Jersey, has killed over 50 people, according to press reports.

It knocked millions of houses and enterprises out of power across the densely populated USA east coast, leaving streets flooded and houses burned.
