NEW DELHI, Nov.01 (Saba)- The preparation preceding the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the countries bordering the Indian Ocean, scheduled to be held on Friday in the Indian city of Gurgaon with participation of Yemen, were concluded Thursday.
The preparatory meetings approved the draft agenda and (Georgao Declaration) scheduled to be approved by the foreign ministers meeting in its final form.
In this context, the senior staff committee of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of Undersecretary of Indian Foreign Ministry for Economic Affairs in presence of the Yemen ambassador to India, Khadija Radman Ghanim.
The meeting approved the formula of a report to be submitted to the foreign ministers meeting, which includes a number of proposals on the development of projects established within the framework of the Association, including fisheries unit, the Center of Information and Technology and the Maritime Transport Council, in addition to the issue of piracy in the Indian Ocean.
