Hadi chairs meeting with politicians, parliamentarians

SANA'A, Oct. 22 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi chaired Monday an extraordinary meeting with some politicians and parliamentarians in the presence of UN envoy to Yemen Jamal Bin Omar.

The President reviewed with his advisers and Parliament deputy speakers and blocs' heads the possible means to achieve a new electoral register based on the national number to ensure a fair and faultless election.

They also discussed the structure and performance of the Supreme Committee for Elections and Referendum (SCER) at administrative, technical and financial aspects.

The meeting ended up with choosing the SCER's members from the honest and competent judges.

During the meeting, President Hadi stressed the need to accomplish the actions successfully in accordance with the executive mechanism of the Gulf initiative and UN resolutions 2014 and 2051.

He hailed the achievement have been made so far, calling on all the national and political powers in the country to work seriously till the desired goals and the transitional stage's requirements fulfilled.
