Military source: nine of most dangerous al Qaeda leaders killed in Abyan

SANA’A, Oct.18 (Saba)- Nine of the most dangerous leaders of al-Qaeda were killed Thursday morning in al-Jabalain area in Abyan province, an official source at the Southern Military Region said.

"They have been rounded up and raided by the champions of the 119th Infantry Brigade and the popular committees, which led to the killing of the terrorist and dangerous leader of the al-Qaeda ,Nadir Haider Nasser al-Shaddadi and eight others of the most dangerous terrorist elements", the source added in a statement to the 26 website of the Defense Ministry.

The source praised the heroic and courageous attitude of the popular committees and citizens and their support for the armed forces and security in encountering those elements.
