WB is to continue supporting Yemen to end crisis
[14/October/2012]

TOKYO, Oct. 14 (Saba) – The World Bank (WB) asserted its keenness to continue offering support to Yemen for the coming phase in order to overcome challenges of the current transitional stage, the WB official said Sunday.

This came by the WB Group President Jim Yong Kim during chairing an expanded meeting of ministers of finance and central bank governors at the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the WB and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the Japanese capital, Tokyo.

Kim noted that Yemen needs huge efforts for getting out its existed challenges and difficulties, confirming the WB Group would work to provide the technical support and financial aid for the coming phase.

He also reaffirmed the importance for the commitment of all donors' countries and organizations for Yemen to prop up the Government of National Reconciliation in order to meet the desired goals of the transition period.
