Qatar-based Silatech opens office Yemen

SANA'A, Oct. 03 (Saba) - Yemen and the Qatar-based corporation of Silatech signed on Wednesday an agreement to officially open its office in the country.

The agreement was signed by undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Omar Abdul-Aziz and Silatech representative in Yemen Mohammed al-Maitami.

Through its office, Silatech aims to carry out free development projects for needy youths by a project for 20,000 youths.

The project helps to open free savings accounts for youths, though which, they can get loans to implement their own businesses without collaterals, al-Maitami said.

Qatar has given Yemen a priority in qualifying its youths to be capable to enter the labor market in Qatar and the Gulf states, especially that Qatar is going to implement huge sports facilities for the World Cup 2022.

Abdul-Aziz praised the role Qatar plays in supporting the development and job creation for youths in Yemen.
