Chief of Staff, Qatari diplomat review national developments

SANA'A, Oct. 01 (Saba) - Chief of General Staff Ahmed al-Ashwal discussed here on Monday with Qatari ambassador to Yemen Jassem al-Buainain the latest developments in the national and regional arenas.

Al-Ashwal and al-Buainain discussed the joint cooperation relations between the two countries in all areas, particularly in training and information exchange in fields of defense, security and counterterrorism.

During the meeting, the Chief of General Staff briefed the Qatari ambassador on the last achievements in the political settlement in the country based on the Gulf initiative.

He hailed the ambassador's distinctive efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations and enhance the cooperation between Yemen and Qatar.

Al-Buainain affirmed the Qatari firm attitude to support Yemen and its security and stability.
