Yemen, UNDP discuss cooperation areas

SANA’A, Sep.16 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi met here on Sunday with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Sana’a ,Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed, and heads of UN’s organizations working in Yemen.

The two sides discussed areas of cooperation between Yemen and the UNDP and ways of promoting them.

At the meeting, al-Qirbi praised the role played by the UN’s organizations, especially in the developmental and humanitarian fields, and reiterated the willingness of Yemen to provide all facilities for the organizations to enable them to perform their tasks properly.

For his part, the Resident Representative expressed satisfaction with the support and facilities given to the UN’s organizations by the Yemeni government.
