Hadi receives invitation to attend OIC’s Summit in Turkey
[12/September/2012]

SANA’A, Sep.12(Saba)- President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Wednesday with the Turkish ambassador to Yemen Fazli Corman.

The Turkish ambassador handed President Hadi an invitation to attend the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) Summit to be held in October in Turkey.

At the meeting, Hadi affirmed that Turkey has a positive vital role at the Islamic, African and European levels and other different levels.

The president noted the fraternal constructive cooperation between Yemen and Turkey at the bilateral levels through the attendance at the regional and international conferences, forums and meetings.

He pointed to Yemen's suffering since the outbreak of the serious crisis in early 2011 that left catastrophic effects and divisions.

"Yemen is passing now a dangerous and difficult phase and needs all the efforts and aid at the various political, security and economic levels”, President Hadi said.

The meeting touched on the brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples and ways of developing them.

Corman confirmed that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will represent Turkey in the Friends of Yemen conference to be held in New York later this month.
