President Hadi receives Danish delegation
[10/September/2012]

SANA’A, Sep.10 (Saba)- President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi received on Monday Danish Minister for Development Cooperation ,Christian Friis Bach, and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Yemen.

At the meeting, Hadi expressed his appreciation for the high-level attendance of Denmark in the donors conference held recently in Riyadh, pointing that the conference results were good and herald a new area of the partnership and helping Yemen to come out of the current conditions.

The president touched on the problem of refugees, noting that about one million and two hundred thousand refugees from the Horn of Africa are existing in Yemen, which represents an extra burden in a country with a low economy.

“We have passed the first stage successfully, which is represented in the peaceful transfer of power ,and now we are at the gates of the comprehensive national dialogue”, Hadi said.

He considered the flow of investments to Yemen will contribute to establishing the security and stability, pointing that the economic problem represents 70 percent of Yemen problems.

“ We have five trends concentrated in the infrastructures, which are the electricity, water, health, education and roads”, President Hadi explained.

For his part, the Danish Minister commended the noticeable efforts of President Hadi for a secure future for Yemen, confirming that his country will increase its aid to Yemen in 2013.
