Yemen's commitment towards human rights issues discussed

COPENHAGEN, Sep.06 (Saba) – Minister of Human Rights Hooriah Mashhoor reviewed here on Thursday with Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs Villy Søvndal conditions of human rights in Yemen and the commitment of the country towards these issues.

The Minister pointed out to the serious steps to establish an independent authority for human rights, making reference to the difficulties and challenges facing human right's situations in Yemen.

Mashhoor hailed the role played by the International Institute of Human Rights in improving capacity building of the ministry and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Yemen during the past period.

In return, the Danish official confirmed that his country will continue propping up Yemen in various fields, particularly in human rights area.
