UN envoy coming visit to Yemen focuses on dialogue preparations
[05/September/2012]

RIYADH, Sep. 05 (Saba) - The UN Secretary General envoy to Yemen said on Wednesday that his coming visit to the country aims to get acquainted with the ongoing preparations for convening the comprehensive national dialogue.

Speaking to Saba, Jamal Bin Omar said that the international community and the Gulf initiative-sponsor countries are really interested in the national dialogue to be held.

The success of the national dialogue in Yemen is one of the top international priorities in the coming stage, he added.

The visit also aims to evaluate the commitment level of the Yemeni parties in implementing the initiative to be included in his report to the UN Security Council.

Bin Omar reiterated his call to all Yemeni sides to keep on backing the efforts of President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the national reconciliation government to carry out the political settlement in the country.
