UK to help Yemen to enhance political change

SANA'A, Aug. 15 (Saba) - Director of Yemen office in the UK Department for International Development (DFID) asserted Wednesday the UK government's keenness to offer all aid required to enhance the underway political change in Yemen.

During her meeting with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi, Ms. Emma Dolly said that her country would help the Yemeni government to fulfill the transitional stage difficult requirements.

Al-Sa'adi hailed the UK government's assistance to back the peaceful transfer of power in the country, boost the development and stability as well as mobilizing the international support for succeeding the donor meeting in Riyadh to be held on September 4.

The arrangements for holding the Riyadh donor meeting and Friends of Yemen meeting scheduled for September 27 in New York were also touched on in the meeting.
