CAIRO, Aug. 11 (Saba) - Arab League (AL)'s deputy secretary general called on Saturday the Arab countries and international community to help Yemen in its economic suffering.
In an interview with Saba, Ahmed Bin Hilli said that the difficult economic situation in Yemen created by the last year crisis obligated all to assist in building Yemen, tackling its political crisis and alleviating its economic crisis's repercussions.
The steps achieved by Yemen under the Gulf initiative were positive and promising, Hilli said.
He deemed the Security Council's intervention against the deterrents of the transitional period in Yemen was good fortune to Yemen, saying "If the Security Council did not interfere in the Yemeni crisis, the situation would be now as in Syria."
He condemned the terrorist explosions committed by al-Qaeda in the southern of Yemen, saying that issue of terror in Yemen is huge and complicated and the international community has to offer all kind of aid to Yemen to be able to encounter it.
