Int'l community will not allow hampering settlement in Yemen

SANA'A, Aug.07 (Saba)- Ambassadors of the ten countries sponsoring the Gulf initiative have confirmed that the international community will not allow obstructing the implementation of the political settlement in Yemen.

The ambassadors, who attended a meeting held here on Monday by the Committee on Military Affairs and Achieving Security and Stability, stressed that they are following closely the progress in the implementation of the Gulf initiative and its mechanism.

The meeting reviewed a number of issues and steps related to the tasks of the Committee in the framework of the implementation of the Gulf initiative and its mechanism and the UN Security Council's Resolution No. 2014.

In addition, the meeting reviewed the achievements and successes of the Committee in alleviating the accumulations of the crisis, ending armed manifestations and hotbeds of tension, reopening, removing causes of conflict and returning the military units to their barracks and gunmen to their villages.

The Military Committee expressed its thanks and appreciation to the ten ambassadors and the European Union ambassador for their efforts in establishing the pillars of security and stability.

For their part, the ambassadors expressed their pleasure with the successes achieved by the Military Committee.
